Construction Camps

Over the years AGC’s Construction Career Camps (CCC) have taken different forms in different locations around the state, but the overall goal has remained the same. Across the country the construction workforce is dwindling as skilled trade workers retire with no one to take their place. AGC’s Construction Career Camps are one way we promote careers in construction to the next generation. The success of these camps is based heavily on the generosity and effort of volunteers. Members donate equipment, money and time to make our camps what they are.

Construction Career Camps were postponed Fall of 2020 due to COVID-19.

  • September 23: Brown County Fairgrounds with Lake Area Tech, Aberdeen
  • September 30: Southeast Tech, Sioux Falls
  • October 6: RTEC, Yankton
  • October 20: TF Riggs High School with Mitchel Tech, Pierre
  • March 9, 2021: Pizza, Pop and Powertools at the CTE, Sioux Falls

Participating in AGC’s 2021/2022 Construction Camps will give you the opportunity to advertise your business to tomorrow’s construction workforce. High School students who attend and participate in our camps will receive a t -shirt promoting construction and the sponsoring companies. You too can have your business logo visible to the hundreds of attendees by sponsoring the event. If your company is interested in taking part in one of our camps, please email margaret@sdagc.org for more details!
