AGC of SD Sponsored Build Dakota Scholarships at SD Technical Colleges Application Window: January 1 – March 31, 2025

The AGC of SD works with a Scholarship Committee to select awards and amounts for the following scholarship pools for students enrolled in construction related degrees or diplomas. An AGC of SD Member sponsorship is required, email here if you need assistance in finding one.
- Build Dakota Partner Scholarship: The remaining 50% scholarship is awarded to an AGC of SD sponsored student(s) that have been selected for a Build Dakota Scholarship and enrolled at a technical institute.
- $10,000 Sioux Falls Contractors Association Scholarship: Awarded to a student(s) enrolled at a college/university or a technical college.
- $5,000 John Shoemaker Memorial Scholarship: Awarded to a high school graduate(s) enrolled at a college/university or a technical college.
- $3,000 SD LICA Scholarship: Awarded to a student(s) enrolled at a college/university or a technical college.
- $2,500 BX “Excellence” Women in Construction Scholarship: Awarded to a female student enrolled at a college/university or a technical college.
- $2,500 JR Loiseau Memorial Scholarship: Awarded to a student(s) enrolled at a technical college.
- $2,000 AGC Associate Division Scholarship: Awarded to a student(s) enrolled at a college/university
- $1,000 Floyd Knight Memorial Scholarship: Awarded to a student(s) enrolled at a technical institute.

The AGC of SD works with the following technical colleges and universities to administer scholarships annually that are funded by its members. Each school awards scholarships for students enrolled in construction related degrees or diplomas.

AGC of AMERICA SCHOLARSHIPS
The AGC Education and Research Foundation offers undergraduate and graduate level scholarships to students enrolled in ABET or ACCE-accredited construction management or construction related engineering programs. Over $10 million in scholarships have been awarded to more than 4,000 students attending colleges and universities across the country. The criteria to apply for undergraduate and graduate scholarships outlines the eligibility to apply. The platform for the application funding students for the 2025-2026 academic school year is closed. Apply by November 1, 2024.
